New autumn schedule!
Hello yogis, I hope you're all enjoying the move into autumn, as the air grows cooler and the leaves begin to carpet the ground. With the change in seasons often comes the need to create space in our lives for new, healthy habits, and if you are anything like me, you'll be ready to start a fresh routine again after a busy summer!
Classes at Out of the Blue in Leith
Come find me in the Cutting Room at arts and business hub Out of the Blue, located in the old Drill Hall on Dalmeny Street in Leith. I teach a range of classes, from my energetic sport-focused class on a Monday to my gentle lunchtime flow on a Friday.
Yoga for Sports - Mondays 8.15 - 9.15 pm An energetic practice interwoven with mindful breathing techniques and finishing with a deep relaxation. Yoga for Sports stretches and tones the whole body while bringing focus and awareness to particular areas affected by sports such as running, cycling, swimming, climbing and surfing. The perfect complement to an active lifestyle. Vinyasa Flow - Tuesdays 6.00 - 7.00 pm Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic practice designed to stretch and tone every major muscle group in the body. Vinyasa yoga is a creative, flowing practice that works and energises the whole body. By moving mindfully using the breath, we are able to overcome challenges in our practice, giving us the tools to overcome challenges in our wider lives. Ashtanga Yoga for Beginners - Tuesdays 8.30 - 9.30 pm Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic, energetic style of yoga that builds fitness, flexibility, balance and strength. It is a very mindful form of movement linking postures with breath. This beginner friendly class is focused on the basic techniques of ashtanga (breath, vinyasa, drishti and bandha) and we focus on learning the first postures in the Primary Series (no further than Navasana). Alignment cues and adjustments are a focal part of the class.
Friday Lunchtime Flow - Fridays 12.45 - 1.30 pm
Lunchtime Flow on Fridays links movement with breath, flowing through a variety of beginner-friendly yoga postures, focusing largely on mindful movement. We will explore the basic foundations of yoga from breath, to vinyasa (transitions) to bandha (locks within the body). This gentle class is designed to bring energy and vitality to the body and refresh the mind, getting you ready for the weekend.

Vinyasa Flow - Wednesdays 9.35 - 10.35 am
Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic practice designed to stretch and tone every major muscle group in the body. Vinyasa yoga is a creative, flowing practice that works and energises the whole body. By moving mindfully using the breath, we are able to overcome challenges in our practice, giving us the tools to overcome challenges in our wider lives.
Creative Vinyasa Flow - Fridays 5.00 - 6.00 pm This class is designed to energise the body and rejuvenate the mind, ready to take on the weekend! The class draws on the influence of various styles of yoga (vinyasa, Forrest and yin), mixing sun salutations with standing and seated postures, and finishing with one or two long, cooling postures before moving into a deep relaxation.
